Garden to Glass Juicery is all the buzz lately at the market. Julie Leask of Oakwood Hills, joined the market on Tuesdays and Saturdays back in July. After spending 20 years in California, and experiencing the benefits of raw juicing, Leask wanted to deliver the benefits of raw juice here, to the McHenry county community. She uses only fresh, local, organic ingredients to make her juices. Leask actively seeks out local farmers and growers who specialize in healthy, organic produce , “I keep a list of the produce that is abundant at the time so we have an evolving menu where people can pick what they want,” Leask said. “It just depends what’s in season.”
Leask offers customers a Pick 4 special where they choose their own vegetable and fruit selections. With options such as beet, carrot, kale, apple, celery, ginger, orange, lime and grapefruit, rarely are two drinks alike. Each 12-ounce drink is made with three pounds of fresh produce. The response has been fantastic and the juices are loved by everyone who tries them.
If you haven’t visited her white trailer near the Dean Street entrance to the Square on farmers market days, you must. Julie will always greet you with a smile and a warm hello and once you try the juice, we guarantee it will not be your last visit!
