The Woodstock Farmers Market opens at the Historic Woodstock Square on Tuesday, May 1st. There will be a lot of great vendors with meat, produce, baked goods, and much more. We have many craft items as well. Check out the Vendors page often to see the latest updated listing of vendors for 2012.
Winter Market
Woodstock Farmers Market Welcomes M. Belle's Pie & Bake Shop Andrew Mansour and the fine folks at M. Belle's Pie & Bake Shop run their pie operation as a "sweet little division of Frank's Karma Cafe" in Wauconda. Their goal is to do their part to restore the American Pie to it's rightful place. In order to do this, they have returned to the pie's origins and make their crusts with lard. They believe, "shortening crusts have good texture but no flavor and with butter crusts, the opposite is true." Andrew says, "Lard crusts offer excellent flakiness and wonderful flavor." Many of us have tried the pies now and we can tell you that we whole-heartedly agree that these pies have an absolutely delicious, flakey crust. They will be at the Market every Saturday of Winter Market, so come on down and get yourself one of these delicious pies before they sell out.
